Relaxed and minimalistic, yet, elevated atmosphere. Awesomely tasty drinks, excellent food. The beer cheese with the pretzels had wonderful flavor. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The elk loin was also perfectly cooked and SO tender. I’d never had pickled blackberries, but they paired well with the flavors presented in the elk. Schnitzel had a great crust while maintaining its juiciness, and the creamed kale that was paired with it was impeccable (could have probably had a whole bowl of it to myself). Lastly, the Bee Sting was great, however, personally, would have preferred it to be room temperature or somewhere close to that. The brittle on the crust was lovely though! Brooke was an amazingly personable waitress who had wonderful recommendations and took the best care of us! It makes a difference when your waitress knows her stuff and takes the time to talk and get to know you- especially when you’re from out of town!

OH MY GOSH, I don’t even know where to start! I am wildly obsessed with this restaurant- the food, the atmosphere and the service were truly amazing! We had Amber as our server twice and I absolutely ADORE her!! Not only did she remember us but she remembered little details about my drink and was truly such a light. The food? 150/10 ! The best steaks we’ve had in a while and their sauce was TO DIE FOR! After our first dinner here, I looked at my boyfriend and go “we should plan a yearly trip here” and yes, we love the mountain but truly it is the Crows Bench that makes me want to come back. Thank you for the best time!

On a rainy September night, there wasn’t much open on the mountain- but all you really need anyway is Crow’s Bench with its roaring fire and delicious food. Be sure to get the tostones.

Nestled within the scenic embrace of Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho, Crow's Bench offers a dining experience that is both elevated and inviting. This restaurant stands out with its relaxed yet refined atmosphere, where every detail from the minimalist décor to the warm, roaring fire speaks to thoughtful craftsmanship. It is a place where locals and visitors alike find comfort in exceptional service and thoughtfully prepared dishes.

The menu at Crow's Bench, though concise, is packed with bold flavors and inventive pairings that highlight quality ingredients. The elk loin, celebrated by many patrons, is a true testament to expert preparation—tender, perfectly cooked, and complemented by the unexpected brightness of pickled blackberries. Such subtle contrasts reveal a kitchen that respects tradition but embraces creativity. Dishes like the schnitzel, with its impeccable crust and juicy interior, paired alongside creamed kale that could easily become a favorite, demonstrate the kitchen’s command of texture and balance.

The appetizers and sides hold their own as well. The beer cheese with pretzels offers a rich, comforting start, while crisp asparagus showcases the kitchen’s precision in execution. Not to be overlooked, the octopus street tacos and chorizo beef burger bring vibrant, layered profiles that leave lasting impressions both in taste and presentation. The tostones earn special mention for adding an unexpected yet delightful crunch to the list of offerings, perfect for a cozy evening.

Equally noteworthy is the beverage program, with cocktails like the Bee Sting delivering a playful complexity—though some diners have noted a preference for a slightly warmer serving temperature to fully unlock the flavor. Service at Crow's Bench elevates the entire visit, punctuated by attentive, personable staff who remember guests and tailor recommendations, creating connections that feel genuine and inviting. This level of care transforms a meal into a memorable experience.
